Steady-State Performance Evaluation of Totally Open Systems of Markovian Sequential Processes
نویسنده
چکیده
Totally open systems of Markovian sequential processes are deened as a subclass of stochastic Petri nets. They can be viewed as a generalization of a subclass of queueing networks in which complex sequential servers can be synchronized according to some particular schemes. Structural analysis of these nets is considered for avoiding the state explotion problem of the embedded Markov chain. Some qualitative properties interesting from a performance point of view are presented. In particular, a \potential ergodicity" property is characterized by means of two structural properties: consistency and synchronic distance relation. Necessary and suucient ergodicity conditions and the computation of steady-state performance measures are studied.

ANALYSIS OF FINITE BUFFER RENEWAL INPUT QUEUE WITH BALKING AND MARKOVIAN SERVICE PROCESS
This paper presents the analysis of a renewal input finite buffer queue wherein the customers can decide either to join the queue with a probability or balk. The service process is Markovian service process ($MSP$) governed by an underlying $m$-state Markov chain. Employing the supplementary variable and imbedded Markov chain techniques, the steady-state system length distributions at pre...
متن کاملWeak Markovian Bisimulation Congruences and Exact CTMC-Level Aggregations for Sequential Processes
The Markovian behavioral equivalences defined so far treat exponentially timed internal actions like any other action. Since an exponentially timed internal action has a nonzero duration, it can be observed whenever it is executed between a pair of exponentially timed noninternal actions. However, no difference may be noted at steady state between a sequence of exponentially timed internal acti...
متن کاملMonte Carlo Simulation to Compare Markovian and Neural Network Models for Reliability Assessment in Multiple AGV Manufacturing System
We compare two approaches for a Markovian model in flexible manufacturing systems (FMSs) using Monte Carlo simulation. The model which is a development of Fazlollahtabar and Saidi-Mehrabad (2013), considers two features of automated flexible manufacturing systems equipped with automated guided vehicle (AGV) namely, the reliability of machines and the reliability of AGVs in a multiple AGV jobsho...
متن کاملEffect of Direct Injection Diesel Engine Convert to Sequential Injection CNG Engine in Intake Port Gas Flow Pressure Profile
The one dimension computational model of a sequential injection engine, which runs on compressed natural gas (CNG) with spark ignition, is developed for this study, to simulate the performance of gas flow pressure profile, under various speed conditions. The computational model is used to simulate and study of the steady state and transient processes of the intake manifold. The sequential injec...
متن کاملModeling and Analysis of Markovian Continuous Flow Production Systems with a Finite Buffer: Methodology and Applications
Fluid flow models have been used in performance evaluation of production, computer, and telecommunication systems. Currently, a general methodology to model and analyze a given continuous flow production system is not available. In order to develop a general methodology to analyze Markovian continuous material flow production systems with a finite buffer, we modelled the fluid flow system as a ...
